Trace Cyrus, son of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, has shared a public message accusing his father of threatening legal action in response to a heartfelt plea regarding Billy Ray’s health.
The 35-year-old musician took to Instagram on Saturday, January 25, to address the alleged family dispute. “Dad, my message was beyond loving. I could have been extremely honest about a lot more, but I don’t want to put your business out there like that,” Trace wrote. “But for you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace. Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment, I can assure you.”
Trace continued his message by stating that while he will always love his father, he has lost respect for him as a man. “Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help,” he added.
Billy Ray Cyrus, 63, has not publicly commented on the allegations or clarified what type of legal action he may be pursuing. According to Trace, he learned about the alleged legal threat through an unnamed family member.
“For all of you wondering, no, I still haven’t heard from my dad,” Trace shared via his Instagram Stories. “He did contact a family member to let me know he’s taking legal action against me for encouraging him to get help.”
The family drama remains unresolved, with fans of the Cyrus family closely following the developments.
