Kirstie Allsopp, who had always claimed to be 'happily unmarried,' has recently changed her stance. Exclusive photos show the Location Location Location star radiating happiness as she married her property tycoon partner, Ben Andersen, last week.
She kept the ceremony a secret until the last moment, even from many of her guests, in an effort to maintain privacy.
The intimate wedding took place at the Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair, the same location where the wedding scene in Love Actually was filmed with Keira Knightley and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The chapel also holds personal significance for Kirstie, having hosted a memorial service for her late father, Charles Allsopp, in June.
The couple exchanged vows in front of about 70 close friends and family, most of whom only found out they were attending a wedding at the last minute.
Kirstie, 53, and Ben, who have been together for 21 years and have two sons, Bay, 18, and Oscar, 16, had told their guests they were celebrating Ben's 64th birthday before surprising them with the wedding.
Kirstie wore a beautiful custom Oscar de la Renta dress with gold sequins and tulle that she had purchased just two weeks before the wedding.
The 40-minute ceremony included The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" and the hymn "I Vow To Thee, My Country."
Kirstie told The Mail on Sunday that the wedding was so secretive that even important guests, including Phil Spencer, couldn't attend.
"On Thursday, Ben and I were married at The Grosvenor Chapel, where my parents and grandparents were married, and where we celebrated my father's life in June," she shared.
"We had with us a small group of close friends and family who only heard about the wedding on Monday."
"We already had a big party planned to mark Ben's birthday, so most of our guests thought that's what they were coming to celebrate, and we did just that, with lots of food, drink, and dancing and all my nephews and nieces running around, having a ball."
"We did sing All You Need is Love. That was Ben's idea; I am a huge Richard Curtis fan and have an original script from the movie. I bought my sparkly dress two weeks before in the sales, and the lovely ladies at Oscar de la Renta added sleeves, thinking it was for an award ceremony."
