ISLAMABAD:

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Bhat on Saturday reiterated the Kashmiris' commitment to their peaceful struggle for freedom, condemning the extrajudicial killings of civilians and the ongoing military occupation.

Bhat emphasized that the liberation movement is not against the Indian people but is rooted in the demand for self-determination promised under United Nations resolutions. He also called for increased international attention, urging the United Nations and human rights organizations to take action against the ongoing human rights abuses in Kashmir.

Furthermore, Bhat stressed that Pakistan's active role is essential in bringing global attention to the issue and pushing for the fulfillment of international commitments.

The observance of Black Day symbolizes the continued repression faced by Kashmiris under Indian occupation, calling for solidarity both within the region and abroad.
