The ICC Men's T20I Team of the Year 2024 has been announced, highlighting the performances of several outstanding cricketers. Babar Azam, the Pakistani batsman, was the sole representative from Pakistan, scoring 738 runs in 24 matches with six half-centuries.
Known for his stroke play and consistency, Babar continued to anchor Pakistan's innings and solidified his place as one of the best in international cricket.
Other key members include India’s Rohit Sharma, who played a pivotal role in India’s T20 World Cup victory, amassing 378 runs in 11 matches with a strike rate of 160.16.
Australia’s Travis Head, who struck 539 runs in 15 matches, and England's Phil Salt, who tallied 467 runs in 17 games, also earned their spots due to their explosive batting performances.
Additionally, all-rounder Hardik Pandya of India made his mark with both bat and ball, contributing 352 runs and 16 wickets in 17 matches.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga were acknowledged for their exceptional bowling performances, with Rashid claiming 31 wickets in just 14 matches, while Hasaranga excelled with 38 wickets.
This year’s team also includes Sikandar Raza, who showcased his all-round prowess for Zimbabwe, and Nicholas Pooran, whose finishing abilities were crucial for the West Indies.
