Former CJP Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has been named the recipient of the 2025 Bolch Prize for the Rule of Law by the Bolch Judicial Institute of Duke Law School.
The prestigious award recognises his extraordinary contributions to advancing gender equality, religious liberty and judicial independence. He will be honoured during a ceremony at Duke University in April.
According to a press release, as a high court judge and Supreme Court justice from 1994 to 2014, he wrote several groundbreaking opinions that challenged customs and advanced civil liberties for women and religious minorities in Pakistan.
