Local courts have convicted two drug suppliers, sentencing them to nine years imprisonment and a fine of Rs80,000 each.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Taxila police arrested one Asadullah last year and recovered 1.56 kilograms of hashish from his possession. Similarly, Rehman Ali was held by the New Town Police in 2023 following the recovery of 1.32kg of hashish.
Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani congratulated the Investigation SP and the investigative and legal teams of the respective police stations for collecting solid evidence against the culprits and presenting them before the courts, which resulted in their conviction
