SZA joins Kendrick Lamar for Apple Music's Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show
Grammy-winning artists SZA and Kendrick Lamar are set to electrify the stage at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The announcement came with a playful teaser trailer where SZA surprises Lamar by pouring a bright blue sports drink over him during his preparations. Lamar, confirmed as the halftime headliner in September 2024, hinted at a powerful performance. “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date,” he stated, adding, “I’ll be there to remind the world why.”
In the teaser shared on Instagram, Lamar urged fans, “Meet me in New Orleans, February 9, 2025. Wear your best dress too, even if you’re watching from home.”
As fans anticipate the show, excitement is also building for the game itself. The teams competing for the championship will be decided on January 26, with matchups between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC Championship, and the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC Championship.
SZA and Lamar are also set to embark on the Grand National Tour to be held in 19 stardium acroos North America between April and June later this year.
