'Gonna slap the head off the two of yous, and KSI': McGregor to Paul brothers
Former UFC champion Conor McGregor’s competitive spirit remains strong, with talks swirling about a potential $250 million fight against YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul in India.
Although the bout is not yet finalised, early rumours suggest lucrative purses for both fighters, should the match materialise.
The speculation gained traction after McGregor confronted Logan and his brother, Jake Paul, earlier this week during their travels to the US presidential inauguration. Despite the intense banter, the interaction remained largely light-hearted, with McGregor appearing eager to secure his next major combat sports payday.
Captured in a vlog posted to Logan Paul’s YouTube channel, McGregor approached Logan to discuss the potential fight. “I thought we were gonna get the fight going? You’re very quiet,” McGregor said. He also poked fun at Logan’s affiliations with the WWE, saying, “You’re f***ing controlled by the WWE as well, bro. Bring it home for me.”
On the same bus ride, McGregor proposed that the fight take place at 190 or 195 pounds. “Here’s the deal, I’m gonna slap the head off the two of yous, and KSI. All three. … Side jobs. A little side job, yeah?” he said to the Paul brothers.
Logan Paul, known for his quick comebacks, responded, “You can’t even do your main job, how you gonna do a side job? … It’s crazy being on a bus with you. If there’s a dolly it would be going through a window.”
McGregor has not fought since suffering a leg injury in a trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. Logan Paul, meanwhile, has recently focused on his WWE wrestling career but returned to boxing in October 2023, defeating Dillon Danis in an exhibition match marred by post-fight chaos.
While the potential fight remains speculative, the encounter has ignited interest in what could become another high-profile event in the crossover combat sports scene. Neither McGregor nor Logan Paul has formally announced plans for the matchup.
