HYDERABAD:

As Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) apparently procrastinates regularisation of its 67 contractual employees despite repeated court orders, the Labour Court has issued a show cause notice to Director General HDA Muhammad Ishaque Khuhro. The court on Monday also ordered Sindh Additional Chief Secretary Syed Khalid Hyderabad Shah to appear in person because his notification concerning reinitiation of the regularisation was considered a measure for dalliance. On January 17 Shah had notified a four-member committee to scrutinise the employees in question. However, the court noted that it had already given up to 12-month-time to the government for the regularisation process.
