Michelle Yeoh returns as Philippa Georgiou in Paramount's 'Star Trek: Section 31'

Michelle Yeoh reprises her role in the first Star Trek streaming movie, debuting on Paramount+ on January 24.

The Star Trek universe continues to expand with the upcoming streaming movie, Star Trek: Section 31. Premiering on January 24 exclusively on Paramount+, the movie marks the return of Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou, the Mirror Universe’s Empress-turned-Section 31 operative.

Michelle Yeoh first portrayed Georgiu in Star Trek: Discovery, where she played two versions of the character. In Section 31, Georgiou’s journey continues as she tackles missions that challenge her past and test her leadership. Fans will get a glimpse into her complicated backstory, including her rise from young survivor to Empress.

The Section 31 organization is known for its covert operations aimed at securing the Federation's interests. With remarkable powers and a dark history, Section 31 first appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and has remained integral to the franchise’s narrative. In this movie, Georgiou is tasked with a crucial mission to safeguard the universe, offering her one last chance at redemption.
