Rs84b allocated for business finance, Rs48b for card scheme

Interest-free loans worth Rs1 million each would be provided to beneficiaries.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that more than Rs84 billion has been allocated for the Punjab Easy Business Finance Scheme and Rs48 billion for Easy Business Card Scheme.

Launching the largest business finance scheme in Punjab, she said over Rs36 billion worth of interest-free loans would be provided under Punjab Easy Business Finance Scheme. Interest-free loans worth Rs1 million each would be provided to beneficiaries.

The chief minister said, "Under the Easy Business Finance Scheme, the loans will be repaid in easy monthly installments in five years." She said men, women and transgender persons, including those with special needs, aged between 25 and 55 years and residing in Punjab were eligible to apply for loan under the scheme.
