TAKHT BHAI:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Lady Health Workers have termed the news of boycotting the polio campaign as baseless and a conspiracy to create misunderstandings between them and the government and have demanded that the government immediately fulfil their upgradation and other legitimate demands.

Addressing an emergency press conference at the Takht Bhai Press Club, Provincial President of the Shaheen Lady Health Workers Association Akhtar Bibi and General Secretary Ishrat Bibi said that the government should immediately approve their charter of demand and provide them with financial security. Mardan District President Nasira Bibi, General Secretary Riffat Bibi and Vice President Safia Bibi were also present on the occasion.

They said the government had assured them of acceptance of their demands in the negotiations during the sit-in held in October 2024, adding that the government had also promised that it would resolve the issues of their salaries and service structure.

They also said that their demand was that they be upgraded and their regularization ensured, and that salaries of the employees of the Integrated Health Project had been withheld for the last five months.
