Islamabad Police Inspector General (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has demoted the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sihala Sub-Inspector Gul Khan to the rank of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) due to unsatisfactory performance.
Additionally, the SDPO Koral, DSP Sajjad, has been asked to provide an explanation regarding the matter.
According to sources, the federal capital is in the grip of a rise in street crime.
On the other hand, Humak police station SHO Fawad Khalid has been commended for his exemplary performance, with the IGP announcing a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward of one lakh rupees for him.
According to a spokesperson for the police, the IGP emphasised that officers delivering excellent performance will be rewarded, while those falling short will face disciplinary actions.
