New suspects emerge in Saif Ali Khan's attack case

Police reveal new suspects in Saif Ali Khan’s attack case, including a possible connection.

Police in India's Mumbai have made new discoveries in the investigation into the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

Recent reports indicate that the authorities suspect the attacker may be connected to one of the house staff members.

The staff member in question allegedly provided the intruder with access to Saif’s Mumbai residence, and is currently under interrogation as police work to uncover more details about the shocking incident.

The attack took place around 2:30 am when an unidentified person broke into Saif's Bandra home. In an attempt to confront the intruder, the 54-year-old actor sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep, with one dangerously close to his spine. The assailant fled the scene before the authorities arrived.

Police revealed that CCTV footage from the actor's residence failed to capture any images of the intruder entering the premises within two hours prior to the attack.

However, investigators believe the attacker may have entered earlier in the day. Additionally, the authorities have questioned construction workers working on the building at the time of the attack, as renovations were underway.

He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital following the attack. He underwent surgery for his injuries, and hospital officials have confirmed that the full extent of the damage will only be clear after the surgery. Despite the severity of his injuries, Saif's team has confirmed that he is now out of danger.

Saif’s children, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan, were seen arriving at the hospital to be with their father. Saif's family and team have requested privacy during this time, while the police continue their investigation into the break-in and the assailant's identity.
