Senator Faisal Vawda has said the next round of talks between the PTI and the government is likely to take place after January 20after the inauguration of the US President Donald Trump.
"I think serious talks might happen after January 20, but even then, it will be under PTI's terms. However, the so-called 'Trump card' doesn't seem like a strong one to me.
"If the Trump card somehow lands in PM Shehbaz Sharif's pocket due to backdoor diplomacy, what will happen then? This is a strong possibility. Seriousness is essential for negotiations."
He added, "There's no negotiation; it's just a joke right now.
He said within PTI, there are compromised individuals who want former prime minister Imran Khan to remain in jail or even face harm so they can continue benefiting politically and personally.
