Cardi B is making a bold statement, telling fans she’s done “acting nice” and is ready to “violate.”
On January 14, 2025, Cardi took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce her shift in attitude. "I was acting nice and nonchalant but today I’m going to violate and show the real me," she wrote. The post was paired with a meme featuring Taylor Swift performing at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge in 2019, but with Beyoncé’s powerful vocals from a Crazy in Love performance dubbed over it.However, the post has since been deleted, adding fuel to the online chatter.
While some fans initially misinterpreted the post as a dig at Swift, Cardi clarified that the video was meant to be sarcastic and lighthearted, explaining it fit her mood at the time. She assured her followers, "The video was funny and sarcastic and it went with my mood. Relax… sheesh."

Cardi’s post comes amidst her ongoing legal drama with gossip blogger Tasha K, as well as her public divorce battle with Offset. The two, who share three children, have had a very public split since July 2024, with Cardi recently posting on social media demanding Offset sign divorce papers.
In addition to these personal matters, Cardi is gearing up for the release of her long-awaited sophomore album, which fans have been eagerly anticipating. Despite the drama, Cardi’s readiness to “show the real me” hints that the rapper is preparing for a new phase in both her personal and professional life.
