Gold prices fell in both the international and local markets on Tuesday, driven by a drop in the global bullion market.

In the international market, gold prices slipped by $14 per ounce, settling at $2,661. This decline impacted the domestic bullion market, where the price of 24-carat gold dropped by Rs1,400 per tola, reaching Rs277,900. The price per 10 grams also decreased by Rs1,201 to Rs238,254.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable. The price of one tola of silver held steady at Rs3,350, while 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs2,872.08.

Local jewellers attributed the decline in gold prices to fluctuations in the international market, which often dictates trends in the domestic market.
