The ongoing legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively takes a dramatic turn as Baldoni allegedly presented death threats sent by a fan of Lively as evidence in court.
On January 3, Baldoni's lead attorney, Brian Freedman, shared with NBC's Today that they intend to file a counter-lawsuit against Lively after she accused Baldoni of "sexually inappropriate behavior" during the filming of It Ends With Us.
While Freedman denied that Baldoni or his team had initiated a smear campaign against Lively, he did not provide details on the specifics of their counter-lawsuit. A few days later, on January 7, Freedman told People that they had evidence of Blake Lively’s repeated "bullying" behavior and would be "releasing all of the evidence."
On Monday, January 13, *In Touch Weekly* provided an exclusive update on the legal situation between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively. According to court documents obtained by *In Touch Weekly*, Baldoni claimed in his lawsuit against The New York Times that his team had received two death threats. One of these threats was reportedly sent to his publicist's email. *In Touch* cited the email, which reads:
"I have more knowledge than you do about Hollywood; knowing the dirty secrets of 'many' directors and influential people up to the White House ... because I am clothed in black."
The message went on: "Some of the directors may know what that means. Before you go attacking good people like Blake Lively be sure of this: There are no secrets those of us clothed in the darkest black of night do now know. Do NOT play with Blake Lively. TIME is OURS ... as is the NIGHT."
Another message cited in the lawsuit allegedly states, "There are guillotines in hell for all of you ..."
On December 31, 2024, Justin Baldoni filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times following Blake Lively’s sexual misconduct allegations and the subsequent legal action taken against him.
