As wildfires continue to ravage Los Angeles, Hollywood star Angelina Jolie and her son, Knox Jolie-Pitt, have stepped in to assist those affected by the ongoing disaster.

On January 11, 2025, the mother and son duo were seen at a grocery store in the Los Feliz area, where they were photographed loading essential items such as bottled water into the trunk of their car.

In a video shared by the Daily Mail, Jolie responded to a comment about the wildfires, saying, “Yeah, we’re having people at our house,” indicating their readiness to shelter those in need.

While the actress has committed to contributing to wildlife relief efforts in the near future, she shared that for now, her priority was supporting loved ones. “I will [donate]... Right now I’m taking care of people close to me and having them at my house,” Jolie remarked, highlighting her focus on providing immediate aid to those in her circle.

This comes as several wildfires, including the Palisades, Eaton, Kenneth, and Hurst fires, continue to cause destruction across the city. At least 11 people have been killed, and over 10,000 properties have been destroyed in the disaster, which has also impacted several high-profile figures. Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, and Adam Brody are among the celebrities whose homes have been severely damaged or completely reduced to ashes.

In the wake of the devastation, many celebrities are joining the relief effort. Halle Berry, for instance, took to social media, urging her followers to donate clothing and essentials. “I’m packing up my entire closet,” Berry wrote in an Instagram post. “If you live in the Southern California area, I urge you to do the same. This is something we can do right now today to help all of the displaced families that are in need of the basics today!”

Meanwhile, actress Jamie Lee Curtis made a substantial pledge, donating $1 million to wildfire relief. “This is the moment to reach out to anyone who lives in Los Angeles, who you think might be in some sort of traumatic shock and grief about losing their homes... and offer your hand, home and resources,” Curtis posted on social media. “We are going to have to come together, as we may never have done before, in the City of Angels and help each other. AND WE WILL!”

The wildfires in Los Angeles have been exacerbated by climate change, with rising temperatures and dry conditions making the fires more intense and rapid. Although wildfires are not uncommon in California, experts have pointed out that climate change is playing a major role in their growing severity and frequency.
