SIALKOT:

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said the government has neither suggested declaring ex-PM Imran Khan's personal residence at Bani Gala a sub-jail nor is it under anyone's pressure to set the PTI founder free.

"The decision regarding the release of the PTI founder from jail is to be made by the courts. I neither have any connection with the judiciary nor am I a fortune-teller to predict events in advance," Asif said during a visit to the Business Facilitation Centre in his native city.

"The claims about Imran's transfer from Adiala Jail to another location are made by PTI members themselves," he added. Asif claimed that the country's economic indicators are gradually improving and the attempts made by Imran Khan and the PTI to damage the country have failed.
