JARANWALA:

Women Police have registered a case against five people including two deputy medical superintendents and security in-charge for sexually assaulting a lady security guard of Children's Hospital.

The victim made a suicide attempt after police failed to act and register a case. She has been shifted to the hospital where her condition is said to be critical.

The police said the wife of Farrukh Abbas, a resident of Iman Town Airport Chowk, told Women Police Station that she was working as a lady security guard at the Children's Hospital since the past three months.

Last month while she was on duty, accused Dr Imad Ayub asked security supervisor Dilshad to post her at the dental ward, where he started harassing her.

The security incharge took no action while Dr. Imad Ayub threatened her to get her removed from the job if she complained against his sexual advances.

On December 25, he called her to his ward room and raped her, while also video shooting the act.

When she reported the incident to the security incharge Dilshad, he told her to keep quiet or get dismissed from the job. Taking advantage of her silence, accused Dr Imad Ayub blackmailed her and sexually assaulted her at different times.
