Young woman gunned down in Rawalpindi

A 22-year-old woman was found murdered under mysterious circumstances within the limits of Jatli police station on Saturday.

According to the police, the woman, dressed in a burqa with henna-decorated hands and feet, was found alongside a 30-bore pistol near her body. The police reached the site after receiving information from the locals.

The body was shifted to a hospital for a postmortem examination. Initial investigations suggest the woman was shot, but the motive behind the murder has yet to be ascertained.

SHO Jatli Police Station, Chaudhry Ismat, said that efforts are underway to identify the victim and locate her family. The woman was described as five feet tall, dressed in shalwar kameez, and wearing red shoes. The police have collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.
