Actor Timothée Chalamet will return to Saturday Night Live (SNL) on January 25, 2024, in a dual role as both host and musical guest.

This marks Chalamet's third time hosting the iconic sketch show but his first time performing music live during the broadcast.

NBC announced the news alongside details of other hosts for January, including comedian Dave Chappelle, who will host on January 18 with musical guest GloRilla.

Chalamet is currently in the spotlight for his performances in Wonka and A Complete Unknown, where he portrays a young Bob Dylan. His role in the latter required him to sing and learn guitar and harmonica, skills he may bring to his live SNL performance. Fans are speculating whether he will perform tracks inspired by Dylan or offer a surprise medley from his recent projects.

The actor has expressed admiration for Dylan's music, citing songs like Girl From the North Country and Boots of Spanish Leather among his favorites. While it’s unclear what he will sing on SNL, his musical abilities have already impressed audiences in Wonka and other projects.

SNL is celebrating its 50th season and will honor the milestone with a special anniversary broadcast, SNL50: The Anniversary Special, airing February 16, 2025.

Timothée Chalamet’s upcoming appearance is expected to draw significant attention as he continues to solidify his place as both a celebrated actor and performer.
