ISLAMABAD:

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar emphasized on Friday that regional sharing of innovation and expertise in renewable energy could help South Asia collectively reduce its reliance on fossil fuels and transition towards a greener, more sustainable future.

He was virtually addressing the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Conference 2025 titled "South Asia's Economic Outlook: Challenges & Opportunities".

"In Pakistan, energy crisis has long been a challenge but it is also an area where immense opportunity lies. It has one of the largest untapped renewable energy potential in the world."
