Musk's gaming achievements are brought under scrutiny, with allegations of account sharing.

Elon Musk made waves in the gaming world by ranking among the top players in popular dungeon-crawling games Diablo IV and Path of Exile 2.

However, his achievements in these games have sparked allegations of foul play from some members of the gaming community.

In a recent stream of Path of Exile 2, Musk's gameplay raised suspicions after he appeared to make rookie mistakes, such as attempting to access game portals he was not authorized to enter and missing valuable in-game items.

Twitch streamer Quin69, with over 892,000 followers, claimed that Musk was "boosting" his character, alleging that he hired a more skilled player to level up his character through time-consuming tasks.

Quin69 suggested that Musk's unfamiliarity with basic gameplay mechanics pointed to account sharing, a practice where a more experienced player completes tasks on behalf of a less skilled one.

This is not the first time Musk has faced questions about his in-game accomplishments. In November 2023, Musk posted a video on X of his record-breaking speedrun of "the Pit" challenge in Diablo IV, completing it in under two minutes.

The feat came shortly after Musk claimed on the "Joe Rogan Experience" that he was one of the top 20 Diablo IV players in the world. However, many gamers were skeptical of the achievement, with some suggesting that Musk exploited a bug in the game to inflate his character's health during the speedrun.

Musk's ranking in Diablo IV has since been verified by Helltides.com, a leaderboard platform. According to Fayz, co-owner of Helltides.com, Musk's ranking at No. 53 on the all-time "Pit" leaderboard is accurate but comes with some limitations. Rankings are based on user-submitted videos and, given that Diablo IV boasts millions of active users, the accuracy of rankings based on such a small sample size has been questioned.

Despite the controversy, Musk's gaming habits have garnered attention for their overlap with his business endeavors. Author Walter Isaacson, who published a biography on Musk in 2023, described the tech mogul as a "video-game addict," noting that Musk has occasionally postponed meetings to extend gaming sessions.

Musk has also used his gaming streams to discuss business matters, such as the development of SpaceX's Starlink program and his ambitions to build a video-streaming platform on X.

Musk's integration of work and play has not gone unnoticed, with some viewers observing business discussions taking place during his streams. In one instance, a SpaceX staff member briefed Musk on a Starlink flight while he was streaming.

While Musk's in-game accomplishments have generated mixed reactions, his gaming presence continues to captivate a large audience, blending entertainment with business insights.
