Meghan Markle's upcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan has sparked controversy, with commentator Meghan McCain calling it "completely and utterly tone-deaf." Scheduled to premiere on January 15, the eight-episode lifestyle series blends practical tips for cooking, gardening, and homemaking with candid conversations featuring guests like Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, and Prince Harry. Produced by Archewell Productions and Sony’s Intellectual Property Corporation, the show aims to inspire viewers by showcasing beauty in everyday life.

McCain, daughter of the late U.S. Senator John McCain, criticized the series for focusing on luxury at a time of widespread economic struggles. Writing on X (formerly Twitter), she remarked, “There have been two terror attacks in two days, major wars raging, and Americans can’t pay for groceries. This concept is ill-advised.” She suggested Markle focus on addressing pressing issues, such as food deserts in low-income neighborhoods, accusing her of prioritizing personal branding over meaningful impact.

Markle unveiled the series trailer on Instagram, expressing her excitement and gratitude for her team. “I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it,” she wrote, highlighting the series’ playful approach to creativity and imperfection. However, critics like McCain argue that the show’s highly curated style feels disconnected from the realities many Americans face.

Directed by Michael Steed, With Love, Meghan showcases Markle’s personal insights alongside lighthearted interactions with her guests. While the series aims to inspire, the criticism underscores ongoing skepticism about Markle’s post-royal ventures. McCain’s comments reflect broader challenges Markle faces in reshaping her public image, with the show’s reception likely to influence how her efforts are perceived moving forward.
