K-P Bar Council elects chairman, vice chairman

The 2025 Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council Elections have concluded with Akbar Khan Kohistani Advocate elected Chairman and Ahmed Farooq Khattak Advocate elected Vice Chairman of the executive committee.

The newly elected leadership of the bar condemned the attack on a convoy of government vehicles in Kurram tribal district, calling the incident concerning after the recent peace agreement.

On Saturday, the bar held its general body meeting under the chairmanship of K-P Advocate General Shah Faisal Otmankhel in which a large number of members participated.

The meeting unanimously elected Ahmed Farooq Khattak Advocate as Vice Chairman and Akbar Khan Kohistani Advocate as Chairman of the executive committee.

The newly elected Chairman and Vice Chairman condemned the attack on the vehicles of the Deputy Commissioner and other staff in the Baggan area of Kurram, saying that the incident was an attempt to undermine the peace agreement and very regrettable.
