The wife of an Army soldier who detonated a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday reportedly ended their relationship six days before he died in the explosion, according to law enforcement sources.

Matthew Livelsberger, 37, left his home in Colorado Springs the day after Christmas following a confrontation with his wife about alleged infidelity, sources familiar with the investigation told *The Post*.

The sources added that his wife, who shares a baby daughter with Livelsberger, accused him of cheating during the argument.

After leaving Colorado, Livelsberger rented a Cybertruck through the Turo app and traveled to Las Vegas. There, he parked outside the Trump hotel on New Year’s Day, set off explosives inside the vehicle, and fatally shot himself, according to Las Vegas police.

With this new information, investigators are examining whether Livelsberger’s actions were driven by personal motives rather than political ones, as initially suspected, due to the location and vehicle choice.

The FBI had been considering a political motive because the explosion occurred in front of a Trump-owned property and involved a Tesla vehicle, manufactured by Elon Musk, a known ally of Donald Trump, FBI officials said.

“It’s not lost on us that it happened in front of the Trump building and a Tesla vehicle was used,” Spencer Evans, the FBI special agent in charge, stated.

However, Livelsberger, an active member of the Army’s elite Special Forces, was described as a “Rambo-type patriot” and staunch Trump supporter. Authorities are exploring whether he chose the Cybertruck for its design, aiming to minimize civilian casualties, rather than for political symbolism, the sources explained.

Unlike a conventional vehicle, the Cybertruck’s reinforced steel structure contained the explosion, preventing it from destroying the building’s glass doors and lobby, which could have endangered bystanders.

The Cybertruck’s design limited the damage while still producing large flames, according to the sources and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
