The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)'s Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad has arrested four people including CDA and Federal Government Employers Housing Foundation officials involved in corruption and malpractice.
According to the authorities, the arrested accused include Fakhar Abbas, Rana Munir, Meraj Afridi and Qaiser Abbas. The accused were arrested after their pre-arrest bail was revoked by the court of Special Judge Central Islamabad.
The accused, Fakhar Abbas, was posted as Patwari in CDA and was involved in making fake reports regarding the land of Mouza Shah Allah Ditta, Sector D-13.
The accused showed fake ownership of 4 kanals of land and got it registered through Power of Attorney fraud with the connivance of other accused persons.
Together, the accused defrauded the complainant of Rs7 million. According to FIA, Rana Munir, Meraj Afridi and Qaiser Abbas changed the ownership of the plot through forgery and transferred the ownership of the plot to an unauthorised person.
Munir was posted as Deputy Director at the Federal Government Employers Housing Foundation, while Meraj Afridi was posted as Executive Engineer.
Cases were registered against the accused last year, who were arrested after revocation of bail. Raids are being conducted to arrest other accused persons involved.
