Rapper GetItDmac, also known as Dmac, is believed to have passed away on New Year's Day, following an outpouring of tributes from friends, collaborators, and fans.

The 29-year-old artist, known for his hit single 'Panoramic', was a beloved figure in the Bay Area rap scene, and his sudden death has left many in shock.

Hyphy Culture, a Bay Area music collective, shared a tribute, calling him a "true Bay Area legend" and celebrating his impact on the culture. "His hit single 'Panoramic' became an anthem that united us all," the group wrote. "Dmac’s energy, creativity, and undeniable talent brought joy to countless people, and his legacy will continue to inspire."

Personal messages also poured in on social media, including a heartfelt tribute from Rinny Morrow, Dmac's baby mama. "This is so unfair… you’re gonna be missed by so many. Damian, you were the light that made every life you touched shine brighter," she wrote.

Amid the tributes, a controversial post by Cyncity Gtz, a close friend of Dmac, surfaced. Gtz claimed that Dmac's death was linked to contaminated drugs, sparking a heated debate online. Many fans pushed back, insisting that Dmac did not use drugs. In her post, Gtz expressed her grief, urging others to avoid dangerous substances.

GetItDmac, born Damian Johnson in Vallejo, California, was known for his massively popular album 'The Panoramic', which featured the chart-topping single 'Panoramic' with Sage the Gemini and Show Banga. He also gained recognition for tracks like 'Sick Of It', 'Keisha', and 'Diamonds'. Dmac was known for hosting throwback song parties throughout California, where his music became an anthem for many.
