Gold price surge persists in both local and global markets

Gold prices rise today, with the global price reaching $2,635 per ounce.

According to reports, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan rose by Rs1,100, reaching a new level of Rs274,700 per tola.

Additionally, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs943, bringing it to 235,511 PKR per 10 grams.

Globally, gold prices also saw a rise in the bullion market, with the price of gold per ounce increasing by 11 dollars to reach 2,635 dollars per ounce.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s (PSX) has set a new milestone with the benchmark KSE-100 Index crossing the 118,000-point mark during intra-day trading on Thursday

However, as trading continued, shares saw a slight dip and reached 117,911.83.

Investor optimism drove the index to a high of 118,367.81 before settling near the current mark. The day's low so far has been recorded at 117,065.97.

Trading activity is robust, with a total volume of 142.83 million shares exchanged, valued at Rs11.31 billion. The previous day’s close stood at 117,008.08.

The KSE-100 Index has shown resilience in recent sessions, supported by solid corporate earnings and favourable developments in the economic landscape.
