Instagram chief Adam Mosseri has previewed these tools, which will soon allow users to transform their video clips with automated edits, including background changes, outfit alterations, and even whimsical Muppet-style representations of themselves.
The features, powered by Meta’s Movie Gen engine, aim to push creative boundaries. While they offer exciting possibilities for visual storytelling, some critics argue that these AI-generated elements risk undermining the authentic, social core of the platform.
