The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has declared the results of the supplementary second annual Intermediate examinations.
The announcement was made by Board Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan during a ceremony attended by Controller Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan, Secretary Professor Muhammad Fahmid, and other board officials.
According to BISE Controller Examinations, Tanveer Asghar Awan, 20,295 candidates had registered for the exams and 20,054 appeared. Of these, 6,199 students passed, resulting in a success rate of 30.91%. Meanwhile, 13,812 candidates failed, and 236 were marked absent.
Awan emphasised that under the leadership of Chairman Adnan Khan, the results were prepared with a commitment to merit and transparency.
Khan highlighted the board's efforts to maintain a foolproof and transparent examination system. He noted that CCTV cameras have been installed in examination halls to monitor activities and eliminate malpractice. The measures have effectively eradicated the influence of the "booty mafia" in exams.
Preparations for the new annual Intermediate examinations, scheduled for April 2025, are already underway.
