Man poisons four children to death within week

Cases registered against father, son under provisions of murder

The police have started investigating the mysterious death of four children in the area of Mamu Kanjan. Cases have been registered against a father and son under the provisions of murder, poisoning and burying dead bodies without informing.

According to the police report, SHO Mamu Kanjan, Ilyas Baig, took a stand in the registered case that the family members drank tea on December 12 in the house of Amir Ali in Chak 554 GB, area Baqir Shah and after that they had some sugarcane.

On which they started to feel blisters in their mouth. They immediately rushed to Ayesha Memorial Hospital, Mamu Kanjan, from where they were referred to Civil Hospital Sahiwal.

Three-and-a-half year old Ali Imran Amir died on December 15, two-year-old Zahra Bibi died on December 17, five-year-old Noor Fatima died on December 22 and 13-year-old Ali Ahmed Amir died on December 23.

He further stated that as soon as someone died, his relatives Amir Ali Sultan and Abdul Ghani Amir, resident 554 GB would bury them in their cemetery. Both the accused fed poisonous substance to the children due to which they died.

The accused committed the crime by burying the children without informing the police to hide the evidence of the death of the children and the crime.

After the death of thirteen-year-old Ali Ahmed Amir, who died on December 23, the district administration and the police took action after the news about the death of the four children spread on social media.

Police officers including Assistant Commissioner Tandlianwala and SHO Mamu, Kanjan reached the spot and the body of deceased Ali Ahmad was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem.

In this regard, SHO Mamu Kanjan, Ilyas Baig says that according to our information, the children were killed by feeding them something poisonous and the family members did not inform the police to hide the crime. Matters will be clear after the post-mortem report.
