Teen guns down sister following heated argument

LAHORE:

A 17-year-old boy fatally shot his 24-year-old sister, a schoolteacher, during a heated argument at their home in the Chung area on Tuesday.

The suspect, identified as Usman, fled the scene following the incident.

Police said the altercation occurred between the siblings, Zarka and Usman, escalating to a point where Usman retrieved a pistol and opened fire.

Zarka sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her wounds.

Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the residence and transported Zarka's body to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination via an Edhi ambulance.

Authorities have launched a search operation to apprehend Usman, while investigators are working to gather evidence and statements to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal incident.

Meanwhile, Gujjarpura police claimed to have arrested a man accused of murdering his wife following a domestic dispute.

The suspect, identified as Abdul Rehman alias Mani Shah, was apprehended and handed over to the investigation wing for further inquiries.
