A man was shot dead on the doorstep of his home in the village of Maini due to a marriage dispute. According to a report from Topi Police Station, the widow of the deceased, Sher Zamin, filed an FIR stating that the incident occurred the previous evening while she was at home with her husband and family.
She reported that someone knocked on the main door of their house. When she, her husband Sher Zamin, and their son Ibad went to check, they saw Jamsheer and his son Ibrahim, armed with a rifle, standing outside. Following Jamsheer's orders, Ibrahim opened fire, killing Sher Zamin on the spot.
The dispute reportedly stemmed from a verbal engagement agreement made two years ago between Ibrahim and Sher Zamin's daughter. The family later refused to proceed with the marriage.
