Armed bandits robbed three members of a Tableeghi Jamaat near Gharo on Monday.
Per reports armed robbers snatched Rs52,000 in cash and valuables including mobile phones from the members of the Tableeghi Jamaat at gunpoint within the premises of a mosque.
The victims had come to Gharo from Karachi for preaching people to become good Muslims. They were staying at Masjid Hamza located near Pump House Colony near Gharo. There sermons on following the teachings of Islam had little effect on robbers who took them hostage at gunpoint on the mosque's gate.
The suspects forced the preachers to part with their cash and cell phones and drove off. Meanwhile, Supreme Leader of the Ulema Action Committee, Maulvi Muhammad Qasim Chandio, expressed his concern over the inhospitality of robbing the guests. He came to Hamza Masjid and helped the vitimks file complaint at the Gharo police station.
On this occasion, he had said that such an incident is a source of shame for us. Even those who came to serve the religion have not been spared and this is proof that those involved in criminal activities have no fear of the law enforcement agencies and they are roaming around with great courage and fearlessness, violating the law. He maintained that a report has been registered against the dacoits at the Gharo police station, but the criminals have not been traced yet.
