Details of cases against PTI leaders emerge

Of 140 cases, 65 have been filed against K-P CM

Since the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest at Islamabad's D Chowk on November 24, more than 140 PTI leaders and members of the national and provincial assemblies have approached the Peshawar High Court.

Additionally, details have emerged about the cases filed against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, with nearly 65 references against him. So far, over 70 petitions for interim bail and 69 petitions for protective bail have been heard in the Peshawar High Court.

All petitioners have been granted interim and protective bails. The petitioners include Bushra Imran Khan, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Khadija Shah, Sanam Javed, Aliya Hamza, and other key party officials.

Following the registration of cases against PTI leaders and workers after the Islamabad protest, most of the party's officials have approached the Peshawar High Court for protective and interim bails.

After November 28, PTI leaders and officials, including members of the provincial assembly from Punjab, have filed writ petitions in the Peshawar High Court. PTI's senior leadership has also filed applications to obtain details about the cases registered against them.

PTI's Secretary General Salman Akram and Opposition Leader of the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, have secured interim and protective bails from the court.

Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI's founder Imran Khan, has also been granted protective bail by the Peshawar High Court until January 16. National Assembly members Asad Qaiser, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Sher Afzal Marwat, Junaid Akbar, and Senator Shibli Faraz have also appeared in court to obtain protective bail.

Other National Assembly members, including Shehryar Afridi, Atif Khan, Shahram Tarakai, Adil Bazi, Anwar Taj, Faisal Amin, and others, have also been granted protective bail. Provincial ministers Aftab Alam, Faisal Tarakai, Sohail Afridi, and others have also secured protective bail. Members of the National Assembly, including Shandana Gulzar, Zartaj Gul, Deputy Speaker Surayya Bibi, Senator Falak Naz, Kanwal Shozeb, Aliya Hamza, Sanam Javed, Khadija Shah, Mashal Yousafzai, and Hamida Shah, have also been granted interim and protective bails by the Peshawar High Court.

Peshawar High Court has also provided relief to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, Shahram Tarakai, Sher Ali Arbab, and Fazal Mehmood.
