A fire broke out at a shoe warehouse in Karachi, marking the second such incident in the city within 24 hours.

The blaze, which occurred at a warehouse in the Rizvia area, was contained by firefighters after an hour-long effort, Express News reported.

Authorities confirmed that no fatalities or injuries were reported.

According to local reports, the fire broke out at the warehouse, which stored a large quantity of plastic products, including shoes.

The incident prompted a swift response from local law enforcement, the Rangers, and the fire brigade, who were able to bring the fire under control within one hour.

A spokesperson for the fire brigade said that cooling efforts continued for another hour after the fire was extinguished.

Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by negligence on the part of workers at the warehouse, although the exact cause remains unknown. Police and fire officials have not yet assessed the full extent of the material damage.

The fire follows a similar incident in Karachi just one day earlier, when more than 30 huts were gutted in a blaze near the Super Highway.

The cause of that fire, which led to the destruction of household belongings, is also under investigation.

This recent wave of fires in Karachi has raised concerns about safety protocols and the frequency of such incidents in the city.
