The temperature in Karachi dropped to 9.2°C on Friday night as the city continued to experience a cold wave.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the chill is being caused by the northeast winds from Balochistan, which have been sweeping over the city.
These winds have intensified the cold, making the weather noticeably colder in Karachi.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours predicts continued cold and dry conditions in the city.
The humidity level in Karachi today is recorded at 48%, contributing to the overall chill in the air.
With temperatures expected to stay low, residents of Karachi are bracing for a few more days of cold weather.
Chief Meteorologist, Sardar Sarfraz, confirmed on Friday that while the winds are strong, they will not cause any dust storm-like conditions.
The current cold spell is expected to persist, keeping temperatures on the lower end of the scale for the coming days.
