Snoop Dogg apologizes to Kendrick Lamar for posting AI Drake diss track

Snoop Dogg has addressed a misunderstanding involving Kendrick Lamar and the controversial “Taylor Made Freestyle,” a Drake diss track featuring AI-generated vocals from Snoop and the late 2Pac. The West Coast rap icon shared in a recent interview with Bootleg Kev that he personally apologized to Kendrick after mistakenly sharing the track on Instagram earlier this year.

The post, which fans saw as support for Drake, led Kendrick to respond on his GNX album opener “wacced out murals,” rapping: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”

Snoop explained that the post was an accident tied to a collaborative effort for his Gin & Juice brand. “So when I posted it, I’m thinking I’m posting Gin & Juice. I don’t know what song this is, I’m not hip to everybody’s music.”

Upon realizing Kendrick was upset, Snoop acted swiftly. “I called [Kendrick], left him a message: ‘Nephew, it’s Uncle Snoop. I got the message. I apologize, I was messed up. My bad". Snoop emphasized that Kendrick’s honesty in “wacced out murals” didn’t offend him. “That’s my nephew, man. He’s a rapper, he’s supposed to speak his mind and tell his truth,” he said.

Regarding the AI-generated track, which was later removed following a legal dispute with 2Pac’s estate, Snoop said he prefers to avoid beef altogether. “I don’t get in nobody’s beef. I like ending it.”

The rap icon reinforced his loyalty to the West Coast while emphasizing his role as a neutral force in disputes. “On the West, we hold court in the streets, cuh,” Snoop concluded.
