Eleven 'khwarij' terrorists were 'sent to hell' in three separate engagements between December 17 and 18 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), an ISPR statement revealed on Wednesday.
An intelligence-based operation (IBO) had been conducted by security forces in Tank District on the reported presence of terrorists. During the operation, troops effectively engaged the location and eliminated seven terrorists.
In another intelligence-based operation in Datta Khel, North Waziristan district, two terrorists were shot dead in an exchange of fire with security forces.
In the third encounter in Mamad Gat, Mohmand District, two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists who had been actively involved in numerous activities against security forces and innocent civilians.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for eliminating 11 terrorists in three separate operations-- in Tank district, the town of Datta Khel in North Waziristan district and the Mamad Gat area of Mohmand district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
