The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) headquarters in Islamabad has officially completed the Pakistan-Turkiye Friendship Radio Museum, funded by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The digital museum, a first of its kind, features a unique design inspired by the Seljuk period of Turkey.
TIKA, which provided financial resources for the project, handed over the completed museum to Radio Pakistan's Director-General, Saeed Ahmed Shaikh, in a ceremony attended by TIKA head Durson Ali and TIKA’s Pakistan representative Mohsin Balci.
A selection committee comprising leading figures in museum-making has been tasked with curating exhibits for the museum.
According to the Director-General of Radio Pakistan, the final list of exhibits will be completed within the next ten days.
The official opening will be conducted by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, and Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, Amberin Jan.
Once inaugurated, the museum will be open to the public, offering a rich display of the cultural and historical ties between Pakistan and Turkiye.
