Two policemen martyred in Shangla terror attack

Terrorists launched an attack from all sides on the Chakisar Police Station in the Chowki Gnanagar area of Shangla District.

The police officers stationed at the post fought back with great courage, and two officials embraced martyrdom while protecting the lives, property, and homeland of the people.

Upon receiving the news, DPO Shangla Imran Khan, DSP Headquarters Fazal Ilahi, SDPO Basham Altaf Hussain, SHO Basham Khurshid Ali, SHO Dandai Muhammad Hussain, and SHO Chakisar Muhammad Afzal immediately arrived at the scene, rescued the injured officers, and transported them to the hospital.

DPO Shangla Imran Khan praised the bravery of the officers on duty, commending their courage in facing the attackers. The wounded officers were taken to the hospital, where Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hassan, unable to withstand his injuries, attained martyrdom.

One terrorist, injured during the attack, fled the scene. Therefore, all citizens are urged to share any relevant information with the Shangla Control Room at number 0996850109. The identity of the informant will be kept confidential.

Earlier this year, a police officer was killed and three others injured due to an explosion on Malam Jabba Road, according to police reports. The area surrounding the explosion was secured, with police initiating a search operation to locate potential suspects..

The Swat DIG said at the time that a substantial police presence was dispatched to the scene, and rescue operations were underway.
