Some TikTok users have recently claimed that the Kardashians are planning to purchase TikTok on January 1, 2025. This speculation follows a federal appeals court’s decision to deny TikTok's petition for the Supreme Court to halt legislation that could potentially ban the app in the United States. Users of the platform have since responded to the viral claims.

TikToker nevrcrd was among those who went viral on December 16 after alleging that the Kardashian family was purchasing the Chinese-owned app.

He said online: "The Kardashians is buying the app?... The Kardashians just posted it everywhere that they’re buying TikTok so that American people can still have TikTok… The Kardashians are planning to buy it January 1, 2025. So TikTok is no longer leaving, we’re still going to have this app."

Another TikTok user, urstepdadzdot, shared a similar claim, stating that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter, North West, influenced her mother to buy TikTok.

He said: "I don’t know for sure if this is real or not but I hope this sh*t is true. This sh*t is going to make me f**k with the Kardashians, if this sh*t is true… TikTok is worth a lot of f**king money. I don’t know probably the whole family got it put together."

The claims quickly gained traction, and the videos garnered thousands of views. However, it is important to note that neither the Kardashians nor the Jenners have officially announced any plans to purchase TikTok. These rumors appear to have been spread by TikTok users seeking attention and popularity in light of recent news surrounding the platform.

As a result, it is safe to conclude that the Kardashian family is not purchasing the app. Nonetheless, the rumors sparked significant discussions on TikTok, with many users expressing their curiosity and waiting for the Kardashians to address the claims.

Several other users also stated online that they were eager for the Kardashian family to respond to the viral rumors.

According to USA Today, the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, signed by President Joe Biden, will ban TikTok in the United States if its parent company, ByteDance, does not sell the platform by January 29, 2025.
