Notices issued in Zartaj's travel ban case

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC), while issuing notices to the respondents including the government, on Monday ordered the relevant officer to personally appear in court in a week in a petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul seeking removal of her name from the no-fly list.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued the order while hearing her petition. Her counsel informed the court that she petitioned the court so that she could perform Umrah.

The court was informed that the petitioner was facing 47 cases of different nature out of with 27 were registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
