HBO’s acclaimed anthology series The White Lotus returns for season 3 on February 16, 2025, bringing new guests, new drama, and a fresh location in Thailand.
Known for its biting satire and exploration of privilege, the new season promises a “longer, bigger, crazier” experience, as described by creator Mike White.
Set in 2006, season 3 will explore themes of Eastern spirituality and death, shifting its focus from the social commentaries on wealth and sex in the first two seasons. White toured Asia in search of a filming location before settling on Thailand, leveraging its picturesque settings and Four Seasons resorts in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and the Golden Triangle.
The season’s ensemble cast includes Natasha Rothwell reprising her role as Belinda from season 1, alongside newcomers Blackpink’s Lisa, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, and Dom Hetrakul. White teased an intriguing storyline potentially connecting to Tanya McQuoid’s season 2 demise, hinting at fallout involving her husband Greg.
Rothwell expressed her excitement for the season, praising White’s storytelling. “I gasped out loud a minimum of five times just reading the scripts,” she said in an interview.
As The White Lotus continues its tradition of blending dark humor with sharp social critiques, fans can expect another gripping vacation with twists, satire, and unforgettable performances.
