The EU-Pak Friendship Federation Spain organised the Pakistan Zindabad, Pak Army Zindabad conference in Barcelona, where overseas Pakistanis reaffirmed their loyalty to Pakistan's armed forces and rejected calls for civil disobedience.
The event, presided over by Kamran Khan, president of the EU-Pak Friendship Federation Spain, drew a large number of patriotic Pakistanis. Attendees stood in respect as Pakistan's national anthem was played, reflecting their unity and dedication to the country.
Participants pledged allegiance to Pakistan and its military, chanting slogans such as “Long live General Syed Asim Munir” and “Long live Pakistan Army.”
In a keynote speech, Dr Pervez Iqbal Losar announced plans to hold similar conferences across Europe from now until March, highlighting the diaspora's commitment to counter anti-Pakistan narratives. “The Pakistani community in Spain has always raised its voice against anti-Pakistan propaganda,” he stated.
Other speakers emphasised that the armed forces are a "red line" for Pakistanis, adding that no propaganda against the military or the nation would be tolerated. They also reiterated that “Kashmir is Pakistan’s lifeline, and the army is its protector.”
The conference concluded with calls for national unity, urging respect for Pakistan’s institutions, including the parliament, judiciary, and armed forces. Speakers underlined the pressing need for cohesion during these challenging times.
