Pakistani scientist receives Sheikh Zayed International Award for medicine

Dr. Chaudhry recognised for his significant contributions to promotion of traditional medicine

Dr. Chaudhry has been awarded the prestigious Sheikh Zayed International Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) Award for his pioneering work in herbal medicine and academic excellence, according to a press release from COMSTECH.

The award ceremony took place at the Hotel Beach Rotana in Abu Dhabi, where Dr. Chaudhry was recognised for his significant contributions to the promotion of traditional medicine and its integration with modern healthcare practices.

"This award not only acknowledges his individual accomplishments but also highlights the growing importance of traditional medicine in modern healthcare," COMSTECH stated.

Dr. Chaudhry, a respected figure in the global scientific community, has been recognised with numerous prestigious awards, including Pakistan's civil honours such as the Hilal-I-Imtiaz, Sitara-I-Imtiaz, and Tamgha-I-Imtiaz.

He has also received international recognition, including the Friendship Award from China and the Golden Silkball Friendship Award.

In addition to his achievements in herbal medicine, Dr. Chaudhry serves as the Vice President of the World Academy of Sciences for Central and South Asia and is a fellow of several prestigious scientific bodies, including the Royal Society of Chemistry in London.

In a further testament to his contributions, Hunan University of Medicine in China recently named its newly inaugurated research building after Dr. Chaudhry, underscoring his impact on global healthcare and academic research.
