The body of a man was discovered outside a hotel in the Mozang area after he reportedly fell from the building's fifth floor, police said on Friday.
Reportedly, Mozang police officials were patrolling near the hotel when they heard a loud thud, apparently caused by something falling from the rooftop of the building.
Upon reaching the site, they found the lifeless body of a man. The deceased was identified as Aun Haider, who, according to police records, was previously involved in prostitution and had served multiple jail sentences.
"Preliminary investigations suggest Haider was leaning against a window on the fifth floor when he lost his balance and fell," the police spokesperson stated.
Police have initiated evidence collection from the site to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident.
Haider's body was moved to the morgue after the police called an ambulance for its transportation.
Further investigations are ongoing, and police are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to rule out foul play.
